We are in need of a **"Procurement Engineer"** to join on board immediately with the mentioned below criteria's. **Please review the entire information thoroughly before applying.** - **Civil Engineering** from a Recognized University.(mandatory) - 06 - 07 Years of Experience in Procurement and Purchasing Department and that too from the companies who are in Construction, Contracting, Building Materials and Trading. - Should Be Based in Qatar for an Immediate Hire. The main purpose of this position is to manage and be responsible for purchasing goods or services for BSTC. Ensuring to obtain quality products for competitive prices by hard negotiating with National and International suppliers and ensuring that they are delivered within the time limits. Playing an integral role in ensuring the company sticks to budgets and operates profitably under the guidance of Procurement Manager. **Duties and responsibilities**: - Study project Specifications & BOQs, Submissions for prequalification’s, datasheets, material submittals, etc. - Preparing Comparison Sheets, Quotations, Negotiations & LPOs. - Preparing Comparison Sheets. - In coordination with the Supply Chain Manager Set objectives and deliver results for the procurement department. - Source, Plan, Advise, organize, direct, and control activities related to entire procurement Life Cycle function. - Source and maintain suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct. - Manage, function, schedule, allocate, follow up, help and monitor work of purchasing team members as per the priority set by the Supply Chain Manager. - Work closely with all departments, including engineering, construction, maintenance, facility management, real estate, Accounts, Stores, and logistics to insure smooth flow of material at all times. - Utilize ERP system in the management of procurement operations - Define, Fine-tune, Design, Propose, Advise, Execute and monitor purchasing systems and procedures in timely manner. - Analyses market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability, and prepare any analysis reports needed. - Create, Maintain and Develop (in regular intervals) Supplier Database Local and International like China, Turkey, USA, Europe Etc. - Develops and implement clerical and office procedures and practices, and study work flow, sequence of operations, to improve office work. - Prepare and issues purchase orders and change notices. - Process purchase requisitions from all departments and ensure proper approvals are received before processing purchase orders. - Work closely with account department and follow up aggressively until the payment is released. - Review purchase order claims and agreement for conformance to company policy. - Oversee all activities related to procurement of a commodity, from intent to purchase through delivery of commodity. - Develop and execute purchasing strategies. - Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness - Oversees required purchasing processes. Advise/suggest strategies to Supply Chain Manager for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock leve Expected Start Date: 01/01/2025
