**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Team Leadership**:

- Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of maintenance technicians and support staff.
- Assign daily tasks and responsibilities, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training to enhance team skills.
- **Maintenance Operations**:

- Plan, schedule, and oversee all maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure that all equipment, machinery, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are functioning properly and meet safety standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and building codes.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Promote a culture of safety within the team, providing training on safe work practices and procedures.
- **Resource Management**:

- Manage the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance work and negotiate service agreements.
- Monitor and control the maintenance budget, optimizing costs without compromising quality.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance performance, including key metrics such as downtime, repair costs, and compliance.
- Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track and manage maintenance operations.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and implementing best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure maintenance activities align with overall facility management goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and innovations in facility maintenance.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- **Technical Skills**: Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), preventive maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- **Leadership Skills**: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of maintenance technicians.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, management, and external vendors.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex maintenance issues.
- **Certifications**: Relevant certifications in facility management, maintenance, or safety are a plus.

**Working Conditions**:

- This position may require working in various environments, including office spaces, mechanical rooms, and outdoor areas.
- The role may involve occasional lifting, climbing, and exposure to high temperatures or other environmental conditions.
- On-call availability may be required to address emergency maintenance issues outside of regular working hours.
