Job Description: Accounting Manager

**Position Title**: Accounting Manager

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Reporting & Compliance**:

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage the preparation and filing of financial reports for internal stakeholders and external regulators (e.g., tax authorities).
- **General Ledger & Account Reconciliation**:

- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger.
- Ensure proper journal entries and account reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
- Review and approve month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- **Team Leadership & Development**:

- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of accountants and accounting clerks.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development and training for accounting staff.
- Assign tasks and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
- **Budgeting & Forecasting**:

- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze variances between actual financial performance and budgeted amounts.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
- **Internal Controls & Audit Support**:

- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
- Address audit queries and implement corrective actions as needed.
- **Accounts Payable & Receivable**:

- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and payment schedules.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables and resolution of payment discrepancies.
- **Process Improvement & Technology Integration**:

- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and increase efficiency.
- Implement new accounting software or upgrade existing systems to enhance productivity.
- Continuously assess internal processes and recommend improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
- 6+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting processes.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Solid understanding of tax laws and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**Preferred Skills**:

- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification.
- Experience in managing financial audits and compliance.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial modeling.
- Leadership and team-building experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: QAR6,000.00 - QAR8,000.00 per month
