**SAFETY TECHNICIAN**

**The Safety Technician shall**:

- Be capable of communicating in the English language. Shall have the ability to write technical reports, communication, and negotiation (oral & writing), Work effectively with various personnel, and be flexible in work assignments
- Knowledgeable in relevant HSE techniques and have a working knowledge of the legal and contractual health, safety and environmental requirements that shall be complied with. Be familiar with industry best practices for Health Safety and Environmental (HS&E) standards and guidelines. Have experience or certified as auditor. Be able to advice on technical standards and guidelines relating to HSE. Carry out first line maintenance on fire extinguishers and portable oxygen and gas meters. Conversant with permit to work procedures and guidelines.
- Follow Qatar Energy safety regulations and instructions regarding executing work activities, consideration of safety of others within his work party or vicinity. Be physically fit to be part of the FMB and/or STP’s Emergency Response Team.
- Certified as per CAP 437 Helideck Landing Officer (HLO) prior to mobilization to SITE. Able to instruct and guide Helideck Landing Assistances. Conversant with pilot radio communications and protocols. Fully aware of checks and requirements for helicopter refueling and safety precautions.
- Be certified by Scott Sabre OEM for the Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) for maintenance and repair of the SCBA sets.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 8 years as Safety Officer or Technician
With OIL and GAS industry experience
Computer literate : MS Office & Maintenance Management Software
Must be here at Qatar (local hire
With valid QID and NOC
Willing to join immediately
