Utilities Amp Manager

As the **Utilities AMP Manager**, you will manage utility operations and provide leadership in operation and maintenance of all utility systems including electrical, compressed air, Alarm and electronic system, heat ventilation and air conditioning, High Voltage Power distribution, water and waste-water treatment, steam plants,, oily waste and waste oil collection and treatment, and salt water pumping and distribution.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Ensure watch standing of critical utility systems.
- Review preventive maintenance procedures to prohibit plan emergencies and utility down time.
- Identified potential operation problems and risks and recommends corrective measures to the line supervisor.
- Coordinate tasking and repairs with the central planning division
- Oversee operation of utilities for the US Air Force at the Air Base facilities
- Guide and monitor progress of first line supervisors in maintenance / operation of High voltage power distribution, Environmental control systems, Boiler, heat ventilation and air conditioning, Water and sewage treatment plants, Alarm and electronic system and Utility plants
- maintain project environment by ensuring all Fire Protection Systems such as fire panels, smoke/heat detectors, sprinkler systems, and pumps are maintained in accordance with the applicable National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) standards and ensuring all emergency generators/power systems are always properly maintained and operational.
- Ensures that the Powerhouse is operated within all federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines for the proper production and distribution of high-pressure steam and related equipment systems.
- Ensures that contracted mechanical services in the area of responsibility met specified results by inspecting the work performed and directing corrective action as necessary.
- Helps to reduce the likelihood of a significant disruption of utilities (i.e., heating, cooling, electricity, water) provided to the Air Base and assures around-the-clock responsiveness to mechanical failures or emergency situations.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:

- Bachelor degree with major related to job with 5 years’ experience in the field of electrical / or water / sewer Engineering - Professional certification as a Plant Engineer or Professional Engineer is desirable.

**LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS**:

- **Professional Engineer (PE)**

**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**:

- Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project) to effectively schedule and communicate all aspects of project requirements.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams to work within various settings. Must be objective, flexible and responsive to change and understand the complexities of a changing work environment. Partner with staff and Business Partners to ensure design accomplishes both business and technical requirements.
