Painting/coating Supervisor

Qualifications & Experience:

-     Diploma or Degree in Engineering or relevant technical field.
-     Minimum 5-7 years of experience in painting/coating supervision, preferably in oil & gas, marine, or industrial sectors.
-     Certified in NACE Level 1/2 or BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Level 1/2 (preferred).
-     Good knowledge of international standards (SSPC, ISO, ASTM).
-     Familiarity with HSE practices and procedures related to coating and painting.
-     Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
-     Strong communication, leadership, and reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

-     Supervise and coordinate all painting and coating work at the site or facility.
-     Inspect and evaluate surface preparation, coating thickness, adhesion, and finish.
-     Prepare and maintain daily reports, inspection logs, and quality control documentation.
-     Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
-     Review and interpret coating specifications, drawings, and material data sheets (MDS).
-     Ensure proper storage, handling, and mixing of paint materials.
-     Verify the calibration of testing instruments such as DFT gauges, holiday detectors, and hygrometers.
-     Ensure adherence to safety procedures and the use of appropriate PPE by workers.
-     Provide on-site training and guidance to painting teams as necessary.
-     Assist in the resolution of technical or procedural issues related to painting/coating.
