Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North comprises a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort boasts panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Rig 1938 is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.
**Job Description** Banquet Chef**
- Plan, organize, and execute banquet menus for events of various sizes and types.
- Supervise all food preparation and cooking activities in the banquet kitchen.
- Coordinate with the Executive Chef and event planning team to ensure menus align with guest expectations and event themes.
- Manage banquet kitchen staff and ensure adherence to standard recipes and quality guidelines.
- Monitor food costs, inventory, and kitchen supplies to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (HACCP or local regulations).
- Assist in training and mentoring kitchen staff for banquet functions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace.
- Troubleshoot issues during service and ensure timely food delivery.
- Evaluate post-event performance to implement improvements for future functions.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Banquet Chef or in a similar leadership role in a hotel, catering company, or event venue.
- Strong understanding of high-volume cooking and event-specific food preparation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and train kitchen staff effectively.
- Knowledge of diverse cuisines and banquet service styles (buffet, plated, family-style, etc.).
- Strong understanding of portion control, costing, and menu planning.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous experience in Arabic cuisine will be added advantage.
- Culinary degree or certification preferred.
