Laboratory Technician (Petroleum Laboratory) (1 No.)
- Identify the HSE risks that could be encountered during each lab test/experiment and take the necessary measures to address that risk.
- Conduct the routine tests on samples in the petroleum laboratory, ensuring the tests are undertaken in compliance with applicable procedures, methods, quality standards and protocols as given in Attachment-3. Document/record the results, maintain experiment documentation (electronic, hard copy) and laboratory records, prepares lab reports and technical notes related to lab experiments and tests.
- Assist Laboratory Analysts in routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment in the petroleum laboratories as well as tracking and updating equipment calibration schedule.
- Use Gas Chromatographs for oil fingerprinting analysis
- Use Ion Chromatography instrument for analysis of water samples.
- Use titration and spectroscopy units such Karl-Fischer, potentiometric titrator, FTIR, UV for analysis of crude oil, water and deposit/scale/sludge samples.
- Use of wet chemistry and gravimetrical analysis technique for analysis of deposit/scale/sludge samples.
- Assist the Laboratory Analysts in undertaking test/experiments in the petroleum laboratories.
- Keep laboratory and work areas clean and organized.

**Requirements**:
**Qualification**: Minimum Diploma or B.S. in Chemistry

**Experience**: Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience in oil and gas analytical laboratory, or petroleum production laboratory (mainly testing of samples, such as oil, water, gas, glycols, chemicals, miscellaneous fluids.)

**Others**: Valid H2S Certificate
