_**Role Overview**:_

The Cloud Security Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls and best practices for cloud environments. This role involves working closely with cloud architects, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the security of cloud-based systems and data.
- **Key Responsibilities**:_
- Assess the security posture of cloud environments and identify potential vulnerabilities and risks.
- Design and implement security controls for cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop and maintain cloud security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Provide guidance and recommendations for securely configuring cloud services and resources.
- Conduct cloud security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into the cloud development lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of emerging cloud security threats and technologies.
- **Skills and Qualifications**:_
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security architecture and implementation.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and architectures.
- Proficiency in cloud security tools and technologies (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, Google Cloud Security Command Center).
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS, CSA, NIST).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty or CCSP are preferred.
