Shawarma Maker

**Job Summary**

The Shawarma Maker is responsible for preparing and cooking shawarma and other related dishes, ensuring that the food meets the highest quality standards in terms of taste, presentation, and hygiene. This includes marinating, grilling, slicing, and assembling shawarma wraps, plates, or sandwiches while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Shawarma Preparation**: Marinate meat (chicken, lamb, or beef) using authentic spices and recipes, ensuring proper seasoning and flavor.
- **Grill Shawarma**: Operate a vertical rotisserie or shawarma grill, carefully monitoring the cooking process to ensure that the meat is tender, juicy, and evenly cooked.
- **Meat Carving**: Skillfully slice and carve cooked meat from the spit, ensuring portion control and consistent quality.
- **Assemble Wraps and Plates**: Prepare shawarma wraps, sandwiches, or platters with a variety of accompaniments like vegetables, sauces, and bread (pita or flatbread).
- **Maintain Cleanliness**: Keep the work area, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitized according to food safety regulations.
- **Food Safety**: Ensure that all food preparation and storage follows health and safety standards, including proper handling of raw and cooked ingredients.
- **Customer Service**: Interact with customers to take orders, customize wraps or plates to their preferences, and provide excellent service.
- **Inventory & Supplies**: Help track ingredients and supplies, report shortages, and assist in ordering items as needed.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience as a shawarma maker, grill cook, or in Mediterranean cuisine is preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Knowledge of meat preparation, grilling techniques, and Middle Eastern spices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure food quality and presentation
- Good communication and customer service skills
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for long periods while preparing and cooking shawarma
- Capable of lifting heavy trays and meat as necessary
- Stamina to work in a busy kitchen environment

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience working in a Mediterranean or Middle Eastern restaurant.
- Familiarity with traditional shawarma recipes and techniques.
