- Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
- Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.

- Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.

- Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Trading, Finance, and Projects, to identify or qualify new suppliers.
- Develop and implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers.
- Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success.
- Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
- Design or implement plant warehousing strategies.
- Forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.
- Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
- Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
- Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance.
- Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
- Evaluate and select information or other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of materials or products distribution, storage, or inventory.
- Verifies that the required order is within the agreed given budget.
- Review and approve bills, purchase orders and 3rd party invoices to ensure no additional/extra costs are incurred due to mishandling of shipments.
- Review and approve system minimum sales prices.
- Review and approve FOC materials.
- Review and approve purchase requirement.
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education degree in business, with a focus on supply chain management, inventory control, manufacturing, or materials management or a Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 4 years of supply chain and operations experience required.
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in inventory management.
- Familiarity with, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts and theories.
- Hands-on experience with logistics, inventory management, and procurement.
- Purchasing experience is an asset.
