We are looking for a detail-oriented structuraldraftsman to join our team. You will be creating technical drawings for homes, commercial buildings, and other structures from architects' sketches, incorporating exact measurements and codes, and entering data to generate 3-D design models.

**Structural Draftsman Responsibilities**:

- Reviewing drawings created by architects or engineers to ensure they meet industry standards and can be used to construct a building or structure
- Providing feedback to architects or engineers on drafts of blueprints, sketches, or other drawings that need improvement
- Preparing and maintaining drawings for structures such as buildings, bridges, roads, dams, and pipelines
- Communicating with clients to gather information about project objectives and details
- Using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 2D and 3D models of buildings or structures
- Maintaining databases of project details such as floor plans and construction schedules
- Performing calculations using engineering principles to determine loads on structures or determine other quantities needed for design purposes
- Using computer aided drafting software to create drawings of buildings, structures, or other design elements
- Drafting blueprints and other drawings using pencils, pens, markers, crayons, and other tools such as computer aided design (CAD) software

**Structural Draftsman Requirements**:

- An associate’s degree or certification program in architectural drafting, or similar.
- Prior experience as an architectural draftsman will be advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- In-depth knowledge of building design, specifications, codes, and structural analysis.
- Mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Great analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: QAR3,000.00 per month
