**Main Purpose/Job Summary**
The presenter will prepare, rehearse, and present programmes and bulletins
Present on air with or without a script, conduct interviews and chair discussions live or pre-recorded.
Writing and memorising material for programme scripts, bulletins and links, maintaining professional journalistic standards and adhering to the relevant policy and guidelines.
Responsible for interviewing and reporting duties in recorded or live situations, in studio or on location and keep in contact with the director and the production team in the studio gallery via ear-piece or any other available link.
Research, originate, develop, translate, edit or adapt items, stories or programme material
Able to handle stressful situations and deal with breaking news scenarios and extended live coverage situations
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
- To prepare, rehearse and present programmes and bulletins
- To present and perform on air with or without a script, conduct interviews and chair discussions, live or pre-recorded
- To write, and sometimes memorise, material for programme scripts, bulletins and links, maintaining professional journalistic standards and adhering to station policy and legal and contractual guidelines
- Record video walls and other graphics as required
- Present segments in bulletins as required
- To be responsible for a moving story, amending and updating material as required
- To undertake interviewing and reporting duties in both recorded and live situations, in studio or on location
- Adhere fully to the agreed up editorial agenda of the newsroom
- To keep in contact with the director and the production team in the studio gallery, via ear-piece or any other available link
- To research, originate, develop, translate, edit or adapt items, stories or programme material
- To assist in forward planning of material for future programmes as required
- To liaise closely with other team members and with reporters, camera crews and other resources staff and contributors
- To voice packages or promos or help in any required journalistic task when necessary
- To attend all required meetings with editorial or production teams
- To ensure that programmes commissioned are produced based on the company values
- Ensure compliance of all processes involving your position

**Essential**:

- Good editorial knowledge and judgment
- Excellent Arabic language skills
- Knowledge of television terminology and operating procedures
- A clear voice
- Self-confidence
- Interpersonal skills
- The ability to keep presenting while hearing instructions through an earpiece
- Improvisation skills
- The ability to work calmly under stress.

**Desirable**:

- 5+ years of Experience of presenting recorded and/or live news bulletins and programmes to an Arabic Audience

**Education/Qualification**:

- BA in Journalism or higher in relevant filed
