Lead for the Laboratory Unit.
- Read, diagnose and report illnesses based on laboratory test results. Provide administrative oversight of the Medical Commission Laboratory Unit.
- Maintain the relevant and necessary quality control and safety programs.
- Provide educational and development support to junior medical staff.
- Performing specimen analysis by using laboratory tools and equipment, in order to study samples
- Perform tests to accurately analyze bodily fluids and tissue specimens.
- Looking for abnormalities in samples that evidence disease and conveying this information to the relevant medical practitioner.
- Using checklists, medical software, and retesting to get thorough and precise results.
- Suggesting potential treatment options.
- Writing pathology reports detailing specimens tested, results of tests, and the final diagnosis.
- Undertaking research to improve identification and testing methods and finding innovative ways to treat disease.
- Staying up to date with developments in the fields of pathology and medical practice.
- Resolves problems by examining and evaluating data; selecting corrective steps.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Recording and presenting data
- Disposing of chemicals and waste products safely and according to MOPH guidelines
- Performs routine laboratory procedures such as preparation of media and basic preparation of slides and smears.
- Sets up and operates laboratory equipment in preparation for specimen examinations.
- Maintains laboratory equipment and supplies by cleaning and maintaining quality assurance records.
- Perform PCR in accordance with the current pandemic situation: Following private facility guidelines set by MOPH
- Other duties assigned from time to time

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Doctorate (required)

License/Certification:

- DHP License (required)
