The Role

Head of Treasury Location: Doha, Qatar Guildhall's exclusive client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join their team as the Head of Treasury. As the Head of Treasury, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end Treasury and Investment activities of this family owned company. Responsibilities: Treasury and Investment Management: - Manage the company's Treasury and Investment activities, ensuring efficient utilization of funds and optimizing returns. - Develop and implement Asset Allocation Guidelines and Investment strategies in line with the company's objectives and risk appetite. - Conduct thorough analysis and due diligence for direct investments, including Private Equity investments, Merger & Acquisitions, and Joint Ventures. - Monitor and evaluate the performance of investment portfolios, making recommendations for adjustments as necessary. - Identify and assess risks associated with different investments, developing risk-based capital allocation guidelines. Financial Risk Management: - Evaluate financial and market risks in various investments across sectors and geographies. - Propose concentration benchmarks and asset allocation guidelines to manage risk exposure effectively. - Monitor and mitigate credit risk through the implementation of robust risk management practices. - Stay updated on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the company's Treasury operations. Corporate Insurance and Credit Risk: - Oversee corporate insurance matters, ensuring appropriate coverage for the company's assets and liabilities. - Develop and maintain relationships with insurance providers and negotiate favourable terms and conditions. - Assess credit risk associated with counterparties and implement measures to mitigate risk.
