Starting Monthly Salary**:QAR 8,000** (Full package / All in)
**Overview**: As the Head Chef, you will be the creative leader of our kitchen, responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations. Your exceptional culinary skills, passion for food, and leadership abilities will play a vital role in delivering a memorable dining experience for our valued guests. You will lead and inspire the kitchen team to consistently produce high-quality dishes, ensuring that our restaurant maintains its reputation for excellence.
**Responsibilities**:
Menu Development and Planning:
- Create innovative and diverse menus that showcase seasonal ingredients and cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.
- Stay updated on food trends and incorporate new culinary concepts into menu development.
Food Preparation and Presentation:
- Oversee and participate in food preparation, ensuring dishes are cooked to perfection and presented attractively.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and consistency.
Kitchen Management:
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance, training, and motivation to enhance their skills and performance.
- Schedule and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak business hours.
Inventory and Cost Control:
- Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control costs to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor portion control and food wastage to maintain profitability.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and ensure a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe working space for the kitchen team.
Collaboration with Management:
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop special event menus and culinary promotions.
- Provide input on kitchen equipment needs and improvements.
Supplier and Vendor Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of quality ingredients and products.
Creativity and Innovation:
- Continuously develop and refine recipes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Participate in food tastings and feedback sessions with the management team.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a reputable restaurant or culinary establishment.
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications in culinary arts is a plus.
- Demonstrated culinary expertise and passion for food, with a creative approach to menu planning.
- Strong leadership and management skills to guide and inspire the kitchen team.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
