Marketing Coordinator

**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Event Coordination:
- Plan and execute fitness events (internal & external) including gym member challenges, wellness workshops, open houses, community fitness classes, and promotional activations.
- Coordinate with fitness instructors, personal trainers, brand partners, vendors, and venues to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Organize events and collaborations that build brand awareness, exposure and positively align the brand’s positioning.
- Develop promotional materials such as flyers, posters, digital invitations, and event landing pages.
- Manage event budgets, attendance tracking, and post-event feedback collection to evaluate success.
- Social Media Strategy Oversight:
- Design and implement engaging social media campaigns across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat, etc.) that reflect our brand’s fitness ethos and community culture.
- Create, schedule, and publish content such as workout tips, success stories, fitness challenges, class schedules, and promotional offers.
- Engage actively with followers, responding to comments, DMs, and inquiries to build an online fitness community.
- Track social media metrics (engagement, reach, conversions) and optimize strategies based on performance data.
- Stay current with fitness trends, emerging platforms, and digital best practices to maintain relevance.
- Agency & Influencer Management:
- Manage relationships with Marketing agencies, Marketing Freelancers, Fitness influencers, brand ambassadors, Photographers / Videographers, etc.
- Coordinate influencer-led fitness campaigns, giveaways, and brand collaborations.
- Ensure content produced by partners aligns with our brand guidelines and messaging.
- Track campaign deliverables, performance, and ROI; negotiate contracts and manage partnership budgets.
- Business Development Support:
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to develop and execute member acquisition and retention initiatives.
- Support the creation of marketing materials for partnerships with corporate wellness programs, fitness apparel brands, and local businesses.
- Conduct competitor research and local market analysis to identify new opportunities for studio/gym growth and member engagement.
- Assist in developing lead generation campaigns, promotional offers, and customer outreach programs.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Sports Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in marketing coordination, preferably within the fitness, wellness, or lifestyle industries.
- Strong computer skills | Google drive, Canva, Editing software, Microsoft Office, Tasks Management tools, etc.
- Passion for fitness, health, and wellness; understanding of current trends and consumer behavior in the fitness market.
- Experience managing social media for a fitness brand or gym is highly desirable.
- Strong project management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Meta, Later, Hootsuite) and basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.
