Safety officers play a critical role in the oil and gas industry, ensuring that operations adhere to strict safety regulations and best practices. These professionals are responsible for minimizing risks, preventing accidents, and maintaining a secure work environment for all employees.

The primary responsibilities of a safety officer in the oil and gas industry include:
Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure that safety measures are in place and properly maintained.

Investigating accidents and incidents to determine their root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Providing safety training for employees, including hazard recognition, safe work practices, and emergency response procedures.

Ensuring that all personnel wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety protocols.

Coordinating with management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to address safety concerns and improve overall safety performance.

Maintaining accurate records of safety-related activities, such as inspections, incident reports, and employee training.

Qualifications and Skills

A bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards, such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and the American Petroleum Institute (API) standards.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey safety information to employees and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify potential hazards and develop appropriate safety measures.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in oil and gas
- QE Approved (Should have H2S card)
- Should have MI gate pass

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: QAR5,000.00 per month
