**Job Title**: HSE Engineer

**Job Summary**: The HSE Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

**What you will do?**
- Ensure compliance with Qatari laws, regulations, and international HSE standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Implement company HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Liaise with government bodies such as the Ministry of Labour and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (if applicable).
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification at work sites.
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions based on audit findings.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.
- Ensure proper documentation of all incidents and maintain records.
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and site workers.
- Promote HSE awareness and a safety-first culture within the organization.
- Develop HSE training materials and organize toolbox talks.
- Monitor environmental aspects such as waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and corporate sustainability goals.

**What you will Need?**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Environmental) or related fields.
- NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory).
- Additional HSE certifications (e.g., IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor) are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of QHSE management systems and standards.
- Familiarity with Qatari and international safety regulations.
- Proficiency in incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis.
- Ability to develop and implement HSE programs.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Previous experience in Qatar or GCC is an advantage.
