Key Accountabilities:
Role purpose: Manage and run the prototype lab and its machinery, as well as oversee the other labs and organize and coordinate the workshops and activities related to them at LIWAN. As well as manage and plan ahead production process to assist the designers in producing their work.
Key Accountabilities & Duties:

- Plan and make schedules for when how and where certain projects are produced for the designers in the Design Initiative. Build a clear database of production locations locally and internationally.
- Continuously update and develop relationships with production companies or manufacturers to ensure a reliable source for production.
- Create close communications with key groups to encourage high quality production
- Manage and coordinate incoming lab experts that will maximize the designers’ skills
- Research and find the best experts to help the designers through the production process
- Organize and create system to store Liwan products
- Work with mentors and their assistants as well as designers to understand their vision and how they would want their work to be produced.
- Manage and maintain the following equipment:

- Laser Cutter
- Epilog Zing 24
- 3D Printer
- Ultimaker 2+ (single extrusion print-head)
- Clay Printer
- Delta Wasp 40100 for Clay Printing
- Vaccum Former
- Clarke Vacuum Former
- Hot Wire Strip Heater

Qualifications/Requirements:

- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Experience with planning, managing and communicating
- Previous experience working as part of a team, managing the work of others
- Knowledge of Arabic and English
- Understanding of managing, communicating and planning
- Knowledge of museums and arts is advantageous
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines
