**Duties & Responsibilities**:
1. Contribute to research projects, ensuring adherence to protocols, budget constraints and timelines.
2. Enhance operations, management of CSD facilities at AFRC
3. Drive publication efforts in international refereed journals, and present research findings at national conferences.
5. Assist with ordering and procurement of supplies and equipment as well as with equipment maintenance and undertake additional research tasks essential to meet role requirements and research center goals.
6. Maintain algal cultivation; scale-up of cultures to the volume necessary for zooplankton and fish feeding experiment.
7. Operate and maintain different types of photobioreactors.
8. Characterize microalgal metabolites as necessary.
9. Harvest microalgae using membrane filtration.
10. Extract pigments and lipids from the harvested biomass using GRAS solvent and/or supercritical fluid.
11. Assist in life cycle impact assessment (LCA) and techno-economic analysis (TEA) of microalgae biomass as a potential value-added ingredient in fish meal formulations.
**Qualifications**:
1. MSc degree for the Research Assistant Position or Ph. D. degree for the Research Associate Position in biotechnology, bio-engineering, or life sciences or a related field.
- 2. Have at least 3 years of research experience in microalgal biotechnologies with large-scale cultivation systems, including photobioreactors; having experience in fish-feeding.
- 4. Expertise in microalgae, cyanobacteria, and rotifers.
- 5. Awareness of working with people from diverse backgrounds.

5. Copy of (all degrees’ certificate including the transcripts) highest earned credential (transcript of highest degree if graduated from an institution where course work was completed. However, if no course work was completed, a copy of the certificate letter from the registrar of highest credential granting institution regarding highest academic degree).
