Position: Operation Engineer (Power)(For MIC Solar Plant Only)Experience Requirements:Minimum 10–12 years of working experience in Electrical Engineering, specifically in:Power transmission and distribution systemsElectrical engineering and technical practicesQualifications:Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from an internationally recognized university or equivalentStrong working knowledge and experience in:Electrical power system operations.MV/HV electrical maintenance.Certification & Authorization:Responsible for high voltage switching operations (220 kV & 33 kV) for Solar Plants in coordination with KahramaaMust undergo and pass Kahramaa familiarization and certification as a 220 kV Substation Switching Engineer within three (3) months of assignmentFailure to pass the KM authorization certification will result in rejection by Qatar Energy as not fit for scope under the contractAll expenses and documentation related to KM Authorization shall be borne by the ContractorTechnical Expertise (Equipment)Experience shall include, but not be limited to:Power TransformersHVAC systemsFirewater pumpsFire & Gas Systems33 kV AIS220 kV GIS (mandatory)Planning & Scheduling:Support Maintenance Supervisor (Power) in:Planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance works.Ensuring alignment with asset management policy and strategy.Create work orders in SAP.Arrange required materials and logistics.Authorized to plan and perform 220 kV & 33 kV high voltage switching in accordance with technical and HSE procedures.Technical Support & Supervision:Ensure technicians reporting to this position are competent.Provide continuous technical support and guidance as required.Scope of Work Development:Prepare:Scopes of work.Technical specifications.Basic drawings.Bills of quantities for contracting.Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):Conduct start-of-shift meetings and toolbox talks.Ensure compliance with:Risk assessments.Permits to work.Job Hazard Analyses (JHA)Electrical authorizations.Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.Authorize start of work only after all HSE requirements are met.Work Execution:Supervise technicians during site execution.Ensure:Timely completion.Efficient execution of assigned work orders.Close-Outs & Documentation:Verify completion of work orders.Update SAP with:Materials consumed.Actual man-hours utilized.Troubleshooting & Reliability Support:Perform troubleshooting for assigned areas.Support Reliability Engineer with:Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)Contracts Administration:Administer maintenance contracts by:Creating Release Orders.Preparing Service Entry Sheets in SAP.Manage day-to-day coordination with contractors’ supervisors/managersCommissioning & Handover:Participate in commissioning and handover of new equipment.Verify:Project dossiers.As-built drawings.Maintenance manuals.Vendor lists.Administer equipment warranties.Kahramaa Interface:Manage daily coordination with Kahramaa regarding:System interruptions.Switching activities.Kahramaa Billing:Monitor power import and export between the plant and Kahramaa.Lead the monthly invoicing process.
