We are seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator with minimum of 15 years of experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably in Qatar or the GCC region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, and ensuring the proper execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, and coordination skills to ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.

Job Description:

  • Oversee MEP works from design to execution, ensuring integration with civil and architectural works.
  • Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with MEP subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure quality and timely completion of works.
  • Monitor and inspect MEP installations on-site, ensuring adherence to Qatar Construction Standards (QCS) and international codes.
  • Ensure all MEP works comply with HSE regulations, Qatar Civil Defense (QCD) requirements, and local municipality guidelines.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, and design teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Work closely with the project planning team to align MEP activities with overall project timelines.
  • Oversee the testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with project standards.
  • Identify cost-effective solutions and propose modifications to improve system efficiency and reduce expenses.
  • Prepare progress reports, RFIs, method statements, and ensure all MEP documentation is up to date.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of MEP coordination experience in large commercial, residential, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
  • Preferably PMP, LEED, or relevant MEP certifications.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, ELV, and BMS systems.
  • Familiarity with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS), NFPA, ASHRAE, NEC, BS, and local regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Primavera P6, and MS Office.
  • Strong leadership and coordination abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • English is mandatory; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
  • Candidates should be available in Qatar with a valid QID and transferable visa.
