The selected candidate will be responsible for writing high-quality bid responses for new tenders and coordinating the bid response process. They will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a knowledge base of standard answers and templates, as well as identifying opportunities to enhance the quality, consistency, and efficiency of the bid response process. The Technical Writer will collaborate with various teams and senior stakeholders to ensure timely and top-quality submissions. Additionally, the candidate will support assigned Project Managers (PMs) and technical staff in creating project management reports, analyses, requirements documents, design documents, construction documents, and other forms of correspondence to facilitate successful execution of the facilities project portfolio.

Responsibilities:
  • Compile, edit, and proofread commercial proposals containing technical content and designs, presenting them in a professional and concise manner.
  • Review and revise documents prepared by others and coordinate their integration into a completed bid document.
  • Determine the scope and timeline of new bids, leading and coordinating the bid preparation process while ensuring that contributors provide information promptly and meet the required standards to address client needs.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business, its products, and services by studying previous bid and design documents and collaborating with pre-sales, technical, and commercial functions.
  • Establish a computer-based document store and reference materials.
  • Enhance other customer materials and establish consistent standards for other commercial functions to follow.
  • Create a set of standard templates for less complex bids.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced staff members.
Requirements:
  • Proven writing experience in a technical authoring field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a facilities-related engineering field with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the GCC region.
  • Technical awareness, including a solid understanding of facility management hard and soft services.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in written English grammar, spelling, and vocabulary. The candidate should be capable of understanding technical concepts and tender questions and providing clear and concise responses within tight deadlines and challenging targets. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint, is essential.
  • Extensive experience using MS Office, including Word and PowerPoint.
  • Team-oriented and action-oriented, capable of proactively prioritizing workload and delegating responsibilities to others.
  • Assertive and capable of influencing others to achieve results.
  • Prior experience in Facilities Management is a must.
