Assistant Cost Controller

An exciting opportunity for Assistant Cost Controller to work under F&B - QDFC.

Assist team in day-to-day activities of the department and ensure recording of the daily receiving and reconciliation of store and inter- transfer requests for proper cost allocation while maintaining accurate inventory reconciliation.

· Perform test checking on receiving and store for the agreements of description, quantities, count and weight against actual receiving and conformance of purchase orders to ensure stocks are received correctly as per standard.

· Preform the recording of the daily invoice, arrange the receiving report for proper documentation, and submit to finance department in a timely manner.

· Verify all posted invoices, transfer order or any other inventory related documents to ensure the accuracy of inventory data posted into the inventory system.

· Follow up the landed cost of each overseas shipment and assign the cost accordingly to related shipment.

· Conduct spot check in outlet and kitchen to ensure all consumption are properly recorded.

· Participate in the monthly food and beverage inventories count to ensure stock availability.

· Randomly test the inventory of outlets by reconciling the opening stock with the closing stock, taking account of store issues and sales.

· Assist line manager in periodic review of standard recipe and menu costing in order to minimize the variance between actual and potential cost.

· Follow up and monitor in slow moving items before obsolete to optimize stock utilization.

· Conduct spot check on a regular basis, to provide accurate records to the store team and to identify any stock variance or potential losses to optimize inventory.

· Communicate and work closely with store team and buying officer in a timely manner to complete the posting in a daily basis to avoid missing records.

· Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualification and experience:

· High School Qualification with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience. OR

· Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 1 years of job-related experience.

· High level of attention to details and know-how of daily F&B transaction related financial data Knowledge of materials handling and inventory control.

· Considerable knowledge of requisition procedures, documentation and automated inventory control procedures.

· Good written and spoken English along with presentation skills

· Working knowledge in a dynamic environment and exercise prompt decision making and problem-solving abilities.

· Highly motivated.

· Ability to multitask with workload and emergency supply needs.

· Ability to perform a full range of physical tasks.

· Ability to schedule and prioritize tasks

· Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions.

· Preferred Knowledge of HACCP system.
