Job Summary:

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all materials, workmanship, and project activities meet the established quality standards, codes, and client requirements. This role involves implementing quality assurance and control procedures, conducting inspections, preparing documentation, and coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and clients to maintain high levels of quality and compliance throughout all project stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plan in accordance with project specifications and standards.
  • Conduct inspections of materials, workmanship, and site activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Prepare and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and other quality documentation.
  • Monitor and verify testing and calibration activities for materials and equipment.
  • Review and approve supplier and subcontractor quality documents and procedures.
  • Identify non-conformities, issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports and maintain proper records of inspections and tests.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards, codes, and client-specific quality requirements.
  • Promote quality awareness and provide guidance and training to site personnel when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Minimum 3–7 years of experience in QA/QC roles within engineering, construction, or manufacturing industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality standards, codes, and specifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM, ACI, API, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of inspection and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software/tools.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with multiple teams.
  • Certification in Quality Management or QA/QC (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor, ASQ, CSWIP, or equivalent) is an asset.
