Overview

The CFO will act as a key partner to the CEO and Board, leading financial strategy, governance, and operational efficiency. The role focuses on turning around a loss-making business, driving profitability, ensuring compliance, and enabling sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a financial turnaround strategy to restore profitability.
  • Oversee accounting, treasury, reporting, and internal controls in line with IFRS and local regulations.
  • Drive cost optimization, revenue growth, and performance improvement across operations.
  • Partner with business units and maintain strong relations with banks, auditors, and regulators.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, governance, and audit requirements while managing risks.
  • Lead and develop the finance team to achieve high performance and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Masters preferred).

  • CPA/ACCA/CFA or equivalent strongly preferred.

  • 10+ years in senior finance leadership, with at least 5 years as CFO in high-performance environments.

  • Proven success in business turnaround and profitability improvement.

  • Strong knowledge of FMCG sector financials in Qatar.

  • Bilingual: English required, Arabic preferred.
