1. Job Purpose Summary

The Senior ERP Financial Specialist is responsible for managing, implementing, supervising, and supporting SAP Financial & Controlling (FICO) modules, including FM and BPC. The role requires expertise in SAP solutions, consulting, and financial process integration to align SAP technology with Al Jazeera's business goals. The position also includes managing a team of senior financial consultants to deliver high-quality ERP services and projects.

2. Key Responsibilities

SAP Implementation & Support

  • Lead the design, configuration, and testing of SAP FICO, FM, and BPC modules, ensuring integration with MM, SD, and HCM.
  • Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend SAP-based solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Provide functional expertise, user guidance, and technical presentations during SAP implementations.
  • Manage end-to-end SAP projects, from preparation to go-live.

System Maintenance & Performance

  • Monitor system performance and data accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve configuration, data, or program-related issues.
  • Manage minor enhancements and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and execute cutover strategies and manage data migration (master and transactional data).

Project Management

  • Lead small to medium-scale finance projects and rollout initiatives.
  • Define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Document user requirements, design solutions, and conduct testing.

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare and present project and maintenance reports to management.
  • Escalate critical system issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop C-level reporting packs and maintain clear documentation of activities.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Coach and train junior consultants within the ERP team.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, etc.) and external partners (consultants, integrators, vendors).
  • Ensure compliance with Al Jazeera's standards, ethics, and code of conduct.

3. Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SAP certification in FICO or related module (MM, HCM, etc.) preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of SAP configuration and implementation experience.
  • At least 2 full lifecycle SAP implementations (end-to-end from Project Preparation to Go-Live).

Skills:

  • Strong SAP FICO, FM, and BPC configuration and integration expertise.
  • Proficiency in ERP project management and documentation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of SAP financial modules and related business processes.
  • Experience with Z-reports, smart forms, and user exits.
