Job Purpose
The Category Sr. Officer – Food & Beverages supports the execution of Floward's category management strategy within the F&B segment. The role is responsible for coordinating product development activities, supplier follow-ups, category analysis, and the execution of commercial plans. By working closely with the Category Manager, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, the Sr. Officer ensures that Floward's F&B category remains competitive, customer-focused, and well-executed in line with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Innovation
- Support the Category Manager in developing and enhancing Floward's F&B portfolio.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify product opportunities.
- Assist in new product launches, ensuring quality standards and brand alignment.
Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and local teams for day-to-day follow-ups.
- Coordinate execution of supplier agreements and promotional initiatives.
- Ensure timely delivery of products and resolution of supplier-related issues.
Financial & Commercial Support
- Assist in tracking category sales, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Support the execution of pricing strategies, promotions, and assortment planning.
- Prepare regular reports highlighting trends, variances, and recommendations.
Category Planning & Execution
- Contribute to demand forecasting and replenishment planning.
- Work with Supply Chain and Operations teams to ensure product availability.
- Coordinate with Marketing on campaign requirements and promotional assets.
Customer & Market Insights
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to support product improvements.
- Monitor category trends and share insights with the Category Manager.
- Recommend small-scale adjustments to meet customer needs.
Team & Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing to deliver category initiatives.
- Support junior colleagues when needed and ensure proper knowledge sharing.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
Professional Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or FMCG/retail.
- Exposure to food and beverage segments is preferred.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.Proficiency in MS Excel and basic category/ERP tools.
- Familiarity with market research and trend analysis.
Soft Skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management abilities.
- Collaborative and adaptable with a problem-solving mindset.
