SAP Sr – Project Manager

Role Objective

Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Enterprise Analytics workstream covering

BW4HANA, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and Business Planning solutions, SAC, Data

Bricks, SEM-BCS/4HANA in the SAP S/4 HANA Transformation Program. Approve Analytics

assessment roadmap and ensure delivery of a scalable, high-quality Analytics that support

enterprise reporting, KPI measurements, planning and decision-making. Work collaboratively

with Business Process Owners to ensure value realization and adopting best technology and

practices across reporting and planning platforms. Guide the 'System Integrator' team with key design decisions.

Key Responsibilities

 Define and own the SAP Analytics strategy, roadmap and implementation, aligned with

business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.

 Setup close coordination with the ITD team (Digital/Data and enterprise analytical platform

team) in aligning and realizing the Digital Transformation objectives and ensure scalability

of the models for future changing requirements

 Lead and oversee the activities of the upgrade to BW4HANA. Ensure project activities are

progressed as per project plan within the timelines and delivered with high quality.

 Manage and validate the Analytics Solution architecture and design, and ensure to

implement industry best practices of appropriate solutions meeting organizations current

and future needs

 Drive modernization initiatives and adoption of intuitive and intelligent technology for

delivering the corporate reporting requirements and KPI measurements

 Oversee design and delivery of enterprise data models, dataflows and semantic layers in

BW4/HANA.

 Oversee design and delivery of BDC, Data Sphere, BCS/4HANA, BPC and SAC.

Oversee the design and development of Management dashboards, KPIs and Executive

Reporting

 Manage dependencies with other workstreams in terms of timelines, resources

requirements etc. and provide leadership to the team on realizing Analytics solutions and

integrational aspects

 Approve fit-gap analysis, solution design, and integration with other modules (SD, MM,

PM, EHS, FI). Support integration with third-party systems

 Liaise with business to ensure the right participants are engaged for critical activities such

as Design workshops, Testing, training, data cleansing/validation, Security roles,

deployment

 Establish governance frameworks within relevant Directorate(s) for Project Governance,

Scope Management and Cost Control

 Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies specific to Analytics Workstream

 Drive change management, training, and stakeholder engagement for Analytics business

processes and associated change impacts

Define skills development plans across the SAP Project and Support teams for bridging

the gap due to the adoption of new Analytics technology/solutions. Drive knowledge

sharing and continuous improvement

 Escalate unresolved/delayed SAP product issues through active liaising with SAP AG

 Contribute towards sectional KPI's and targets that are aligned to the Division/department objectives

 Adherence to Project Implementation Standards and Quality Management Systems

(QMS) processes to achieve a standard approach to work practices and technologies

 Anticipate, evaluate, mitigate on any delays, foreseen obstacles, design and quality

issues and potential risks. Apprise/Escalate to the Supervisor as necessary

Educational Qualification

 Bachelor's degree in engineering / petroleum / management /Business

Administration/Information Technology/ACCA/CA or equivalent

 Strong understanding of SAP BW4/HANA, BDC, Datasphere, SAP BCS/4HANA, SAP

BPC/4HANA, SAP SAC.

 Professional certifications e.g. SAP BDC, BPC, BCS4/HANA, Data Sphere, SAC or

(any additional) are a plus

 Integration with Microsoft Products such as Power BI etc

Professional Experience

12+ years of professional working experience including a minimum of 2-3 full cycle

Analytics implementation of covering all technologies (SAP BW4HANA, BDC, SEMBCS,

BPC, SAC, Data Bricks, BOBJ, BODS) with connectors, preferably BW on

HANA to BW4HANA/BDC migration.

 Working experience of integrating SAP Analytical platform with non-SAP analytical

platform (Preferably Microsoft).

 Complete understanding of all S4/HANA modules (Finance, SSD, EAM, SSAM, EHS,

EWM, HCM etc.) Also have a good other Analytics technology platform knowledge.

 Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

 Demonstrates a commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Operates

independently using mature judgment in planning and performing assignments and

achieving defined objectives

 Should be a proven self-starter and team player and be able to manage the team in

completing assigned tasks

 Exposure to agile or hybrid project management methodologies will be an added

advantage.

 Experience in the Oil & Gas sector is preferred.

 Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
