CAD Operator – Roads & Infrastructure (Package 2 Project)

Location: Qatar

Project: Construction of Remaining Roads and Infrastructure Works Throughout Qatar – Package 2 (4 Projects)

Duration: 3 Months (Extendable)

Job Purpose:

Cad Operator candidates will be responsible for producing, updating, and coordinating 2D/3D drawings to support site execution and technical requirements. The role includes ensuring all revisions are logged, coordinated, and communicated in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for roads, infrastructure, and utilities based on engineers' sketches and design data.
  • Assist technical engineers and coordinators in preparing drawings for method statements, technical submittals, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, surveyors, and technical teams to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions.
  • Ensure all drawings follow project CAD standards, documentation codes, and authority requirements.
  • Incorporate consultant/client comments and revise drawings promptly to avoid project delays.
  • Prepare, modify, and update shop drawings, as-built drawings, and design revisions.
  • Maintain version control and ensure only the latest drawings are circulated and used on site.
  • Organize and maintain an updated archive of digital and hard copy CAD files.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure integrated drawings.
  • Submit drawings for review, approval, and coordination with consultants, clients, and third parties.
  • Support clash detection and provide mark-ups for as-built documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Educational Credentials:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's in Architectural/Civil Engineering Technology
  • OR Certified CAD Technician (AutoCAD/Civil 3D)

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience preparing and revising infrastructure drawings (roads, drainage, utilities)
  • GCC project experience is preferred

Professional Training:

  • AutoCAD Certified User
  • Civil 3D training/certification an advantage
