As a Senior Consultant Surgical Oncologist, you will be responsible for leading surgical interventions for cancer patients, providing expert diagnosis, and contributing to multidisciplinary treatment plans. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex surgical procedures for patients with various types of cancer
  • Lead patient assessments, including history-taking, examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests
  • Develop, implement, and review personalized treatment plans in collaboration with oncologists and other specialists
  • Manage post-operative care, monitor recovery, and address any complications effectively
  • Participate in tumor boards and case discussions to refine treatment approaches
  • Engage in educational initiatives for staff and contribute to the training of junior surgeons and residents
  • Maintain current knowledge of advancements in surgical oncology through ongoing education and research efforts
Requirements
  • Medical degree with a specialization in Surgical Oncology
  • Board certification in Surgical Oncology and a valid medical license
  • Extensive experience in surgical oncology, preferably in a senior or leadership capacity
  • Proven ability to perform complex oncological surgeries with a focus on patient safety
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary care models and evidence-based practices in oncology
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams
  • Leadership skills with a commitment to mentoring and developing junior surgical staff
  • Dedication to continuous professional development and contribution to the field of surgical oncology
