We are seeking a skilled Wood Polisher / Finishing Technician for a reputed organization in Qatar. The candidate will be responsible for polishing, finishing, and enhancing wooden surfaces to achieve smooth, durable, and visually appealing results. The role requires attention to detail, precision, and adherence to safety and quality standards, working closely with carpentry and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare wooden surfaces for polishing by sanding, filling, and cleaning.
  • Apply varnishes, lacquers, stains, and other finishing materials evenly.
  • Ensure high-quality finishes that meet design specifications and client expectations.
  • Inspect finished surfaces for defects or inconsistencies and correct them.
  • Mix and match polish colors and finishes as required.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in a clean and safe condition.
  • Coordinate with carpenters and production teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain inventory of polishing materials and supplies.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in relevant fields is a plus
  • 2-3 years of experience as a wood polisher or in a similar finishing role preferred
  • Knowledge of different types of wood finishes, stains, and polishing techniques.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools for surface preparation and finishing.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Good physical stamina and hand-eye coordination.
  • Awareness of workplace safety standards and proper handling of chemicals.
  • Locally available in Qatar with a valid visa and QID
