Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Quality Control Officer with hands-on experience in the paint industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of direct experience in paint production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process batches, and finished paint products.
  • Perform and document tests such as viscosity, specific gravity (SG), shade/color matching, hiding power, drying time, adhesion, and stability tests.
  • Ensure all products comply with technical datasheets (TDS), safety data sheets (SDS), and internal specifications.
  • Monitor and record daily QC results and report any deviations or non-conformities.
  • Coordinate with production teams during batching, tinting, and color correction.
  • Approve or reject raw materials and final products based on QC standards.
  • Assist in investigating customer complaints by conducting laboratory analysis and root cause identification.
  • Maintain QC equipment, ensure calibration, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) protocols and ensure compliance inside the laboratory and production areas.
  • Maintain accurate reports, test records, and documentation for audits.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the paint / coatings industry (decorative paints, industrial coatings, wood coatings, automotive paint, or related).
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures in paint manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of chemical/paint QC instruments (viscometer, SG cup, spectrophotometer/colour reader, mixers, etc.).
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Paint Technology, or related field (preferred, not mandatory if experience is strong).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
