We are seeking an experienced Lead SURF Engineer with a strong technical background in umbilical systems to join our project engineering team. The ideal candidate will lead the engineering and interface management of Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines (SURF) scope, with a particular focus on umbilical design, manufacturing, testing, and control system integration.

Lead and coordinate all engineering activities related to SURF systems, with emphasis on umbilical and control system design and integration.

Develop and review technical specifications, data sheets, and design documentation for umbilicals, terminations, and distribution units.

Manage interfaces between umbilical systems, subsea control systems, topside control systems, and installation contractors.

Provide technical oversight during umbilical manufacturing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), EFAT (Extended FAT), and SIT (System Integration Test).

Ensure engineering deliverables comply with project requirements, industry standards (API, ISO, DNV), and company procedures.

Support procurement, vendor qualification, and follow-up of manufacturing and testing activities.

Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP sessions, and technical risk assessments.

Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.

Mentor and guide junior engineers in the SURF discipline.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Subsea, or Offshore Engineering (or related discipline).

Minimum 8+ years of experience in SURF or Subsea Engineering, with significant involvement in umbilical design and manufacturing.

Proven knowledge of umbilical and control system interface requirements.

Hands-on experience with FAT, EFAT, and SIT execution and documentation.

Familiar with relevant codes and standards (API 17E, API 17F, ISO 13628 series, etc.).

Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills.

Experience working within EPCIC or major subsea project environments preferred.
