We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Procurement Engineer to oversee and manage all technical procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background combined with procurement and vendor management expertise. You will serve as a key liaison between engineering, project management, and the supply chain to ensure materials and services are delivered on time, within budget, and meet technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the procurement engineering process from requisition through delivery, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project schedules.
  • Evaluate technical proposals and bids in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Interface with suppliers and vendors to clarify specifications, resolve technical issues, and negotiate terms.
  • Develop and maintain qualified vendor lists for critical materials and equipment.
  • Review and approve procurement documentation, including material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and purchase orders.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address quality or delivery issues proactively.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and identify sourcing opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field);
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of technical procurement processes, supply chain principles, and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.
