Job Description:

Irrigation Engineer

Doha, Qatar

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Irrigation Engineer to join our team In this role you will get to develop sustainable infrastructure projects and create interconnected communities and world-class infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Performs a variety of assignments such as conducting landscape irrigation studies, developing design concepts, design criteria, and preparing related reports. Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.

  • Develops design solutions and prepares high quality presentation drawings with the assistance of other team members.

  • Provides technical guidance to CADD Designer/Drafters working on the same project.

  • Prepares technical packages from concept design, through detailed design to tender and contract documentation.

  • Prepares reports, submissions, and responses to client comments.

  • Presentations to clients and various government agencies for approval.

  • Provides leadership. support and production assistance to team members.

  • Completes other duties as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Agricultural Engineering from a recognized university.

  • Minimum 5+ years relevant landscape irrigation design experience.

  • Preferably with the design work experience in Qatar, UAE, KSA or Middle East.

  • UPDA/MME/MMUP Certification or ability to obtain is necessary.

  • Proficient in utilizing AutoCAD / Civil 3D.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Proficient in Irrigation/FX.

  • Shall be a self-motivated individual who is able to take responsibility and demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks and design skills.

  • Ability to write technical documents and correspondence.

  • Good spoken and written English language is necessary.

Additional Skills

  • Able to demonstrate ability to lead and undertake the above responsibilities independently.

  • Independently performs a wide variety of conventional and complex assignments by applying landscape irrigation design standards, practices, and techniques which requires a fundamental knowledge of landscape, planting and primarily irrigation design.

  • The incumbent at this level is required to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in developing original designs and is proficient in the utilization of standard landscape irrigation techniques.
