About the opportunity we offer:

Job purpose :

• Ensures continuity of engineering to site.
• Is in charge of technical interfaces with the sub-contractors.
• Is In charge of resolving first level problems at site.
• Performs simple calculations and draws sketches for any modification work at site.

Reporting lines and interactions:

• Hierarchically reports to: HOD, Electrical.
• Operationally reports to: Manager –HOD, Electrical Manager.
• Key interactions (internally, externally): Discipline Manager and vendors.

Main Accountabilities:

• Site survey on shore / offshore for data retrieval
• Design of main SLD and auxiliary distribution schemes
• Protection & relay co-ordination
• Load calculations
• Power system study ETAP
• Earthing calculations
• Cable sizing calculation
• AC & DC UPS, DG set sizing calculations
• Equipment sizing & selection
• Familiar with Hazardous area classifications & layout
• Preparation of material requisitions for electrical equipment such as medium voltage/ low voltage switchgears, transformers, cables, DC/AC UPS equipment etc.
• Preparation of technical specifications of electrical equipment such as generator, transformer, medium voltage/ low voltage switchgears, cables, lighting packages etc.
• Technical bid evaluation
• Vendor interaction & discussion with clients
• Cable schedule, cable interconnection/ termination and cable routing
• Electrical layouts and materials list
• Lighting calculations and layouts
• Lightning protection design
• Layouts for electrical rooms
• Vendor drawings review
• Preparation of distribution board/panelboard schedules
• Field engineering support
• Familiar with International standards

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field is required.
• Minimum years of experience in Oil & Gas sectors with independent working capability & effective communication skills.
• Fluency in English Language
