Overview
The Supply Specialist is responsible for gathering, managing, and preparing Material and Subcontract requests received from different departments within the task order. The Supply Specialist is responsible for reviewing and routing requests to the associated supply section for process and creating the required Purchase Request within the supply program. The Supply Specialist should be familiar with the acquisition process and requirements to assist when required to meet mission needs. This position requires both verbal and written communications daily. Cradle to grave ownership of PO, to include ensuring material is received and invoices are processed in a timely manner, and all trackers are updated. Operates under the functional guidance of Site Management while coordinating closely with other functional departments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and manages all procurement requests.
  • Creates and tracks all Purchase Requests, ensures requests are submitted to appropriate departments for approval.
  • Responsible for all documentation associated with a purchase as required by government and company policies.
  • Follows up on all awards until completion of order.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED Required.
  • Degree not required for this position.
  • Minimum three years' experience working in an administrative position.
  • Working knowledge of the procurement and supply department.
  • Experience working with IFS or Similar supply systems beneficial but not required.
  • Must possess a valid Secret Clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Overtime may be required.
