Role Overview

The Infrastructure Engineer (L3) will be responsible for advanced Azure infrastructure operations, configuration, and optimization. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, disaster recovery, and complex incident troubleshooting, supporting enterprise and mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide
    Level 3 infrastructure support
     for
    Microsoft Azure
     environments.
  • Manage and configure cloud infrastructure components including:
  • AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)
  • Virtual Machines
  • SQL Server Databases
  • Provision infrastructure for
    new environments, labs, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs)
    .
  • Design and implement
    PoCs
     for new capabilities and application requirements.
  • Support
    performance testing
     and infrastructure tuning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve
    complex, high-impact infrastructure incidents
    .
  • Implement, configure, and test
    Disaster Recovery (DR)
     setups and conduct
    DR drills
    .
  • Perform
    AKS cluster resizing
    , upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Upgrade and manage
    Kubernetes components
    , including
    Ingress controllers and Istio
    .
  • Manage
    Microsoft licensing
     and subscription usage.
  • Lead
    complex vulnerability remediation
    , including:
  • Infrastructure and container vulnerabilities
  • Remediation of findings from
    penetration testing

  • Manage
    renewal of secrets and SSL certificates
    .

  • Maintain and validate
    backup strategies
    , including periodic testing across all components.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in
    cloud infrastructure engineering
    , with strong focus on
    Azure
    .

  • Hands-on expertise with
    AKS, Kubernetes, and containerized environments
    .

  • Strong experience with
    VMs, SQL Server, and Azure networking
    .

  • Proven experience in
    incident management and root cause analysis
     at L3 level.

  • Solid understanding of
    DR architectures and backup strategies
    .

  • Experience handling
    security vulnerabilities and remediation
     in cloud and container environments.

  • Strong knowledge of
    SSL certificates, secrets management
    , and identity integration.
