Crane Worldwide Logistics is a leader in supply chain solutions with over 130 locations across 30 countries providing individual services that address our client's logistics challenges.

The Public Relations Officer will act as the liaison between the company and government/regulatory authorities; ensure regulatory compliance of company and employee documentation; manage public-relations and communications activities (depending on scope) to support the company's reputation and operations in Qatar.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Handle all government-related tasks for the company and clients : visa applications, residence permits, labour cards, government licenses, work permits, immigration and municipal procedures as well as the other government approvals for customs brokerage in behalf of CWW clients.
  • Maintain the company's compliance with Qatari laws/regulations in immigration, labour, municipality, Commercial, Trade license, etc.
  • Liaise with ministries, government departments, municipalities, immigration, labour offices, banks, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare, submit, follow up and collect documentation (for companies and employees) — e.g., trade licenses, establishment cards, renewals, amendments, attestation of documents as well as application for Other Government Agencies for Cargo Customs Clearance inbound and outbound shipments.
  • In some roles, handle the communications/PR aspects: developing content, managing media relations, press releases, events, websites/social media. Tes+1
  • Provide support in HR-onboarding/offboarding processes (in roles where PR overlaps with employee relations) including orientation, paperwork, exit formalities.
  • Monitor updates to relevant laws/regulations and ensure company procedures reflect those changes.
  • Occasionally represent the company externally at government agencies, embassies, banks, or public events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.

Other Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of Qatar's labour laws, immigration procedures, municipal regulations (especially for PRO role).
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic strongly preferred (and sometimes required) for liaison with local stakeholders.
  • Good organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks and follow up on pending items.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, online government portals, documentation systems).
  • For roles with PR & media focus: skills in writing/editing, social media, event coordination, media relations.

Education and Experience: 

  • High School diploma, Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Law, Communications, Public Relations) preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in Public Relations, Employee Eelations, Communications or similiar.  

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.
