Lead Storekeeper

About the role

The Lead Storekeeper is responsible for  maximizing potential of QDC Hub by operating all types of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes VNA trucks to ensure rapid and efficient movement of stock at lowest possible materials handling cost. Handle and supervise all warehousing, replenishment and distribution functions of QDC Hub including accountability for inbound & outbound movement of inventory stocks and assets, inspects quality of items upon receipt & delivery to ensure data and stock  as well as adherence to invent management safe and security.

· Responsible to drive VNA trucks & other MHE used in warehouse to accurately & safely move stocks within the warehouse and also participate in the loading and unloading of delivery truck periodically.

· Undertake rapid stock picking based on requirement and set parameters to ensure orders are timely fulfilled and replenishment area are always kept fully filled.

· Check all stocks received going in and out of the store by liaising with Warehouse supervisors to ensure accurate records are kept in security the company's assets.

· Supply all locations with necessary stocks through coordination with Team Leaders to aid in maximizing sales while minimizing disruption to the operational location.

· Highest batch control of inventories according to company policy to ensure correct stocks are dispatched thereby limit stock write-off costs.

· Organize warehouse to ensure that material is stored in a correct manner where it is easily accessible for picking to supply to the retail shops.

· Maintain warehouse and its allocated sections in a clean and orderly manner and thereby keeping the stocks in a useable condition.

· Carry out regular stock checks including those of authorized stock counts on a regular basis, to provide accurate records and to identify any stock issues quickly while also minimizing potential losses.

· Effectively communicate with various stakeholders to ensure that activities are prioritized according to the criticality of requirements so as to smoothen the operations.

· Perform stock related duties including returning of rejected or damaged materials and complete transactions in inventory module and accordingly raise concerns to immediate supervisor to minimize any potential losses Supervise the periodical review of inventory ageing and accordingly take corrective actions through proper coordination with warehouse management to maximize sales opportunities.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following:

· Must be able to communicate, read and write in English

· Knowledge of inventory management (i.e. FIFA method)

· Detail oriented and strong skills in time management

· Ability to build effective relationship with line managers and employees at all level

· Knowledge and ability to work with computerized inventory control

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Understanding of numerical data

· Proactive attitude

· Self-motivated and demonstrate accountability for own results

· Ability to provide functional supervision

· Proficient in stock forecasting system

· Ability to prepare and maintain stock records, reports and inventories Knowledge of MS Excel
