Job Purpose:
We are seeking a passionate and talented
Commis
with a strong background in
Asian cuisine and sushi preparation
to join our creative culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, precision, and enthusiasm to support our chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences..

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and production of Asian dishes and sushi items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients, especially seafood and sushi-grade products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and workstations.
  • Support senior chefs during service to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
  • Contribute ideas and assist with menu development when required.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Previous experience in Asian cuisine and sushi preparation is required.
  • Strong knife skills and understanding of ingredient quality, particularly for sushi.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
  • Culinary diploma or relevant certification is an advantage.
