Position: Group Director of Finance

COMPANIUM Hospitality, a leading executive search firm specializing in senior roles within the luxury hospitality sector, is conducting a search for a Group Director of Finance on behalf of an international luxury hospitality group based in Qatar. 

This opportunity is ideal for finance directors with significant experience in the hospitality industry, either at the corporate level or managing the financial operations of a luxury hotel, or a cluster of properties.

Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in Luxury Hospitality groups
  • Level of experience : Senior expertise, significant experience as Director of Finance, Deputy group CFO
  • International experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead the financial strategy, planning, and management for the entire portfolio of hotels and resorts under the group.
  • Ensure strong financial governance across the properties, managing key financial functions such as budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Drive the financial performance of the group through effective cost management, financial risk assessment, and profitability enhancement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to align financial objectives with the overall business strategy.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to on-property Directors of Finance and finance teams across multiple hotels and resorts.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and financial integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and international financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Play a key role in evaluating new investment opportunities, M&A activities, and expansion plans for the group.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience in financial leadership roles within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record as a Director of Finance at a corporate level, or experience managing finance across a cluster of hotels or a large and internationally renowned property.
  • Experience as a Deputy CFO in our niche industry would also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and reporting systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and develop large teams.
  • Strategic mindset with a strong understanding of hospitality operations and how financial decisions impact the business.
  • Fluency in English is required
