Cost Controller – Oil & Gas Projects

Key Responsibilities
:


• Prepare, maintain, and report project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.


• Monitor actual project costs vs. budgets and highlight variances with explanations.


• Ensure cost control processes are in place in line with company and client standards.


• Track expenditures, commitments, and cost trends for ongoing projects.


• Review and validate contractor invoices, change orders, and claims.


• Collaborate with Project Managers, Procurement, and Engineering teams to ensure cost-effective project execution.


• Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports, dashboards, and financial summaries for management review.


• Maintain accurate records of project financials, including work-in-progress (WIP) and cost-to-complete analyses.


• Participate in project audits and provide necessary documentation.


• Support risk management by identifying potential cost overruns and recommending mitigation measures.


• Ensure compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and client contractual requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field.


• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in cost control within the Oil & Gas, EPC, or construction projects.


• Knowledge of project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
