  • Oversee daily carpentry operations, ensuring projects meet specifications and deadlines while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage a team of carpenters, providing guidance and support to optimize work performance and resolve issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work sites to assess quality, compliance, and safety standards, implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, allocating resources effectively to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Manage the production process from material preparation, cutting preparation, assembly, finishing and packing to the finished product and all activities related thereto as well as site installation management.
  • Re- structure production planning and scheduling, capacity assessment and man-power allocation, material requirement planning.
  • Assign, Instruct and supervise the workers and technicians at site as well as workshop to carry out their jobs and to complete on time.
  • Do the estimates and costing (manufacturing process, material requirement, man-hour requirement, site installation and overhead cost).
  • Plan and manage production to ensure all that products are completed and delivered on time.
  • Generate production and performance reports.
  • Provide machine lay-out, production process flow, production planning and control procedure, materials stock and control. Train and guide production staff to improve manufacturing methods, tooling and production equipment capabilities.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality, efficiency and productivity standards are met based on asset of specific criteria. Ensure efficient workshop operations in accordance with prescribed stand well or safety and quality.
  • Ensure the full understanding of the shop drawings and details by the production supervisor and staff and prepare any details required and cutting lists.
  • Liaise and coordinate with all suppliers, vendors and be familiar with multiple price options for raw materials and allied services. Coordinate and liaise with Administration and Sales department for the procurement and logistics of projects & materials, incoming & outgoing stock levels, Job Orders, Delivery schedules etc.
  • Coordinate with the design departments about shop drawings, designs and details.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for vocational training in carpentry or construction management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing carpentry projects from inception to completion, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction plans.
  • Experience in formwork, joinery, finishing, and installation. Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Skilled in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood and related materials.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of carpenters and helpers. Assigning daily tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of work.
  • Providing on-the-job training, coaching, and quality control.
  • Maintaining a productive and safe work environment. Preparing work schedules, manpower allocation, and material planning.
  • Keeping accurate daily progress reports. Basic computer or tablet use for reporting. Good command of English (additional language skills can be an asset.
