Director – Accounting & Reporting Consulting (ARC)

Doha, Qatar

We are seeking a highly driven Director to lead and expand our Accounting & Reporting Consulting (ARC) practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong consulting and delivery experience, deep technical expertise in accounting and reporting standards, and the ability to build and strengthen client relationships across industries in Qatar and broader GCC.

This role blends delivery leadership with go-to-market strategy, client development, and capability building.

Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery & Project Leadership

  • Lead complex consulting engagements related to technical accounting, financial reporting, new standards implementation, and accounting advisory.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex issues including GAAP conversions, new accounting standard implementation, and disclosure requirements.
  • Oversee financial reporting assignments including preparation and review of financial statements and analysis of client data to recommend improvements.
  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery, quality outcomes, and effective project governance.

Business Development & Client Relationships

  • Drive the development of go-to-market strategies, service offerings, and capability enhancement within the ARC practice.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across various industries in Qatar/GCC.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities, lead proposal development and commercial discussions.
  • Contribute to expanding the practice's market presence and brand recognition.

Practice Growth & Capability Development

  • Stay ahead of evolving accounting standards and regulatory developments to shape service offerings.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop consulting teams while fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with other service lines to deliver integrated, cross-functional client solutions.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 12+ years of relevant experience in consulting and/or industry with deep expertise in technical accounting, accounting advisory, and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience delivering projects related to accounting standards, reporting processes, GAAP/IFRS/US GAAP matters, or disclosure requirements.
  • Strong client network in Qatar/GCC across sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, project delivery, team leadership, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.

Preferred Credentials

  • Qualified CA, CPA, or ACCA.
  • Experience with top-tier consulting or advisory firms.
  • Exposure to ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle), cloud environments, or finance automation tools is an advantage.
