- Kitchen Organization:
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitized at all times.
- Properly store food items and maintain food rotation to minimize waste.
- Restock kitchen supplies, such as ingredients, utensils, and disposables, as needed.
- Safety and Hygiene:
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain personal hygiene, including proper handwashing and the use of appropriate attire.
- Follow safety protocols when handling knives, hot surfaces, and kitchen equipment.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the head chef, sous chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure a coordinated and efficient workflow.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure orders are prepared and served on time.
- Clean-Up:
- Assist in end-of-shift clean-up, including dishwashing and cleaning kitchen surfaces.
- Dispose of kitchen waste properly and maintain recycling practices.
- Menu Knowledge:
- Familiarize yourself with the menu and any daily specials to answer customer inquiries accurately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
- Food handler s permit or certification is a plus.
