Mechanical Supervisor

Our client, a well-established engineering and facilities management service provider in Qatar, is currently seeking 2 experienced Mechanical Supervisors to support an ongoing project in Duhail. The organization is known for delivering reliable, high-quality technical solutions while maintaining strong safety and operational standards.

Location: Duhail, Qatar

Employment Type: Contract – 2 Months (Extendable based on performance and project requirements)

Vacancies: 2 Positions

Salary: QAR 4,000

Transportation Allowance: QAR 500

Total Package: QAR 4,500

Working Hours: 8 hours/day + 1-hour break

Working Days: 6 days/week

Role Overview

The selected candidate – Mechanical Supervisor – will be responsible for supervising and coordinating site activities related to facilities management operations for a project based in Duhail. The role requires strong supervisory experience and coordination with electrical and technical teams, ensuring smooth execution of installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities in line with project requirements and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and local regulations.
• Coordinate closely with electrical engineers, supervisors, and technicians on site.
• Oversee works related to lighting systems, including internal and external lighting installations.
• Supervise activities involving lighting control systems, including testing and commissioning support.
• Monitor and coordinate works related to Central Battery Systems (CBS).
• Supervise installation, testing, and troubleshooting activities related to UPS systems.
• Coordinate works associated with LV substations, including:
• LV Panels
• Transformers
• Capacitor Banks
• Oversee site activities related to:
• Building Distribution Panels
• Control Panels
• Bus Ducts
• Ensure proper coordination between mechanical, electrical, and FM teams.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support testing and commissioning activities as required.
• Prepare daily site reports and assist with documentation.
• Identify site issues and coordinate corrective actions to meet project timelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in facilities management or site-based projects.
• Proven supervisory experience and coordination exposure in projects involving:
• Lighting & Lighting Control Systems
• Central Battery Systems
• UPS Systems
• External Lighting
• Substations (LV Panels, Transformers, Capacitor Banks)
• Building Panels, Control Panels, and Bus Ducts
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and site documentation.
• Good understanding of site safety practices and quality standards.
• Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Candidates available immediately or on short notice will be preferred.
