Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is seeking an experienced
Senior Civil Engineer
to join their team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing civil and structural engineering works for major projects, ensuring compliance with design standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage civil and structural engineering design, construction, and maintenance activities for infrastructure and industrial projects.
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables, drawings, and calculations prepared by consultants and contractors.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution in accordance with scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to quality, HSE, and technical standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in materials selection, geotechnical assessments, and structural integrity evaluations.
  • Support tendering, bid evaluation, and contract management processes related to civil works.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of
    10–15 years
    of experience in civil and structural engineering within the
    oil & gas or energy sector
    .
  • Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards (ACI, BS, ASTM, Eurocodes).
  • Experience in FEED and EPC project phases.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
  • Previous experience working in the GCC region is an advantage.
